All school children are invited to participate in either of the following contests.
Entries are to be sent with name and grade of the artist/writer to:

Poetry Contest:
Read the story OTNV will be performing and create a poem based on the story. Poets
will decide their own theme but it should be related to the opera in some way. The
poem should be between 6 and 20 lines; typed; your name and grade clearly marked on it;
and it should all be on one page. There will be prizes of $25. Grades will be grouped
for judging. Prizes will be awarded following one of the weekend performances
(to be announced). Deadline for entering the contest is two weeks prior to the weekend
performances.
Poster Contest:
Read the story OTNV will be performing and create a poster based on the story. The more
imaginative the better. Paper or Cardboard accepted. Any medium but chalk; 12 x 18 inch
paper or cardboard preferred. There will be prizes of $25. Grades will be grouped for
judging. Prizes will be awarded following one of the weekend performances (to be announced).
Deadline for entering the contest is two weeks prior to the weekend performances.
